This post is about as special to me as they come for so many reasons. I am sure many of you know I grew up in Texas and my Texas roots run deep…… REALLY DEEP!!! So, I was beyond thrilled when through facebook I was able to connect with some very awesome girls. They were the daughters of some of the best people I know!!! The Carter’s. They were the granddaughters of someone I have thought the world of as long as I can remember… I can not think of Dalhart, Texas without thinking of Hoss and Mary Carter. He will always be in my mind one of the greatest men I have ever known.
Whitney and I exchanged emails since she was into photography and it was awesome to get to know her. The craziness started and at the beginning of 2012 when Whitney emailed me to “shoot” her wedding. Through the laughter and tears I quickly said no. I seriously thought she was crazy!!! Of course once my sweet sister heard the news you know I did not stand a chance to continue to say no. While thinking this through I contacted an old friend of mine, KIM HOWARD, to ask her some questions. One thing lead to another and it ended up she offered to help me! {Please note she is a professional wedding photographer and very busy.} Looking back she was probably just being nice… but…. I jumped on it and before I knew it I had tickets for Texas in August and KIM HOWARD just agreed to give up a weekend!!! There is no way I can ever thank KIM HOWARD enough for her help, she truly rocks!!!!! I will say her kindness to me was SO AWESOME for my heart and makes me miss Texas people even more than I already do.
The weekend was AWESOME……. the wedding party was GORGEOUS and the bridge and groom were so PERFECT!!!!!
I had a great time!!!! Thanks Whitney and Kay for trusting me with your memories!!!!!!!!! The only thing I regret is not seeing Mary!!!!
Whitney and Garrett… HAVE THE TIME OF YOUR LIFE!!!!!
